Overcomers International is happy to introduce our missionaries to Uganda, Isaac and Rachel Mubezi!

Isaac and Rachel have ministered in Burundi for a combined twelve years. Isaac, a medical doctor, went to Burundi in 2005 at the end of the genocide that ravaged the countries of Burundi and Rwanda. While in medical school there he was involved in the creation of Christian clubs on campus and worship and prayer events - meeting spiritual, emotional, and medical needs of fellow students. Since graduating from medical school Isaac has worked as physician in a local clinic and assisting in surgeries. He has also served on many occasions as a translator of language and culture for visiting doctors and missionaries in the area.

Rachel first went to Burundi in 2010 where she taught in the special education department of a Christian university. After a year back in the states, she returned to Burundi at the end of 2011 to support missionaries who had children with special needs. This led to a volunteer position teaching a first grade class at a local English speaking Christian school.

In December 2013 Isaac and Rachel will return to East Africa to serve the poor in a village setting in Iganga, Uganda. With Isaac’s medical training and Rachel’s experience in and outside the classroom setting they are confident that God has prepared them for something big. Please join us in prayer and support of them as they take the love and truth of God to Uganda.
